Stowaway hidden fasteners by Deckorators were created to provide a fastener-free install of Deckorators deck boards. Deckorators' Stowaway Hidden Fasteners slide into deck board grooves and are secured with included stainless steel, square-drive screws. For secure installation, the stainless steel screw is driven into the joist at a 90 degree angle through the hidden fastener, while the clip's wing on one side hold tight within the deck board groove. The next deck board is then slid onto the wing on the other side of the clip. The fasteners provide automatic 1/4 inch gapping for a consistent appearance across the deck surface.
