As the weather cools and we spend more time indoors, refreshing a fireplace can change the entire look and feel of a room. However, stonework can be intimidating and expensive. A great alternative to costly and cumbersome stone or brick is GenStone Faux Stone Panels and Faux Brick Panels. These panels look like real stonework or brickwork but are made from a mixture of cement, natural aggregates, and pigments, meaning they're very lightweight.

GenStone faux stone and brick panels are safe for placement around a gas fireplace as long as the area around the fireplace is not too hot to the touch. However, it is not recommended for installation around a wood-burning fireplace due to the significant heat distribution and potential sparks that may come into contact with the product.

In addition to being applied around a gas fireplace, GenStone faux brick and faux stone panels can be used for a variety of interior and exterior projects, such as accent walls, kitchen backsplashes, porch columns, foundations, and more. A great way to get an idea of how GenStone might look in your space is to order a 12" x 12" Faux Stacked Stone Sample or Faux Brick Sample
