For grooved board decking, it’s hard to beat the TigerClaw TC-G hidden deck fastening clip. It’s fast, easy to use, provides automatic 3/16” board spacing, and there won’t be a fastener in sight, assuming you use FastenMaster Cortex system for your perimeter boards.

However, if you’re a professional or just a DIY enthusiast who knows the value of having the right tools for the job, we recommend investing in the TigerClaw Pneumatic Installation Gun to install grooved deck boards with TC-G clips at lightning speed.

Check out the video below that shows a regular hand drill versus the TigerClaw Pneumatic Gun:

As you can see in the video, the TigerClaw TC-G clip can be installed with the installation gun in four simple steps:

  1. Place the clip on the nose, prong side up.
  2. Slide the gun to the right to free it from the clip.
  3. Rest the gun flat on the joist, push down, and pull the trigger.
  4. Put the clip under the groove in the decking.

If you make a mistake, a cool feature is that the installation gun uses scrails–a screw nail–that drives in like a nail and can be removed like a screw, making it easier to back out of installs.

The gun can be powered by a standard CO2 tank, with the recommended pressure being 80-100 PSI.

When you combine the TigerClaw TC-G clip with the TigerClaw Pneumatic Installation Gun, you get fast, professional installation, compatibility with other great clips, and, of course, the satisfaction of using a cool power tool to create a beautiful fastener-free deck surface.

Plus, TigerClaw is offering a great deal. When you buy 2 boxes of scrails and 2 buckets of TC-G fasteners, you get a free installation gun!
