Aurora Deck Lighting recommends 12 gauge low voltage wire because it is low resistance, allowing for it to go a further distance. 12 gauge wiring is easy to work with for A/C lighting. This is because A/C current flows both directions. Lights will light up, regardless of how you attach it to the 12 gauge wire.
