Product Compatibility
The Tiger Claw TC-G is ideal for composites and hardwoods, 1" to 2".
If you are using pre-grooved decking be sure that the groove is the correct dimension and location on the board so that it is compatible with the TC-G fastener (see
groove specs).
Non-grooved decking will require that a groove be created. A hand-held router and the Tiger Claw Slot Cutter (see above) can be used to create grooves in solid edge decking.
The Tiger Claw Butt Seam Clip is ideal for joining two boards on a deck where the deck boards are cut shorter than the total deck width. The Butt Seam Clip is oriented 180 degrees from that of a TC-G and can be used a direct replacement for the TC-G.

Tiger Claw TC-G should not be used with:
- Pressure Treated Pine
- Decking material prone to high shrinkage
- Hollow composite decking
- Decking boards less than 7/8" thick
- Cellular PVC Decking - Use Tiger Claw ProClip
- Pre-Grooved Trex - Must Use Trex Hideaway
- Pre-Grooved TimberTech - Must Use TimberTech CONCEALoc

Below are the required slot/groove dimensions for the Tiger Claw TC-G. If your decking is not pre-grooved, you can groove the decking using the dimensions listed
here with a hand held router. For accurate results, we recommend that you use a hand held router with the TC-G slot cutter listed above.

Direct Replacement Cross-Reference
The Tiger Claw TC-G is a direct replacement for many hidden fasteners on the market. We 100% guarantee that the TC-G is direct replacement for the following fasteners:

with grooved boards, greatly reduces installation time when compared to using conventional nails and screws. The result is a nail and screw-free deck, easily installed

When using Tiger Claw fasteners please review and comply with these requirements to obtain proper installation. Failure to follow these requirements may result
in deck failure and/or void of warranty.
Inspect decking material prior to installation. Omit any planks that contain hooks, twists, splits, cracks, or other defects. Always install decking with the crown
upward.
