Deck Width - Distance that runs perpendicular to your joists
Deck Depth - Distance that runs parallel to your joists
Deckboard Width - Nominal width of your decking
Joist Spacing - Distance between each of your joists

Are You Using Trex or TimberTech Decking?

Trex Decking

For pre-grooved Trex decking, you must use the Trex Hideaway fastener.

For Trex square (non-grooved) decking, you should use the TC-3S . With Trex square decking, you also have the option to use the Hideaway fastener, but you will need to groove your board with a slot cutter -- (details). We can help you with estimating Trex fasteners.
TimberTech Decking

For pre-grooved TimberTech decking, you must use the TimberTech CONCEALoc fastener.

For TimberTech square (non-grooved) decking, you can still use the CONCEALoc, but you will need to pre-groove your boards with a slot cutter (details). We can help you with estimating CONCEALoc fasteners.

For other pre-grooved decking, you should use the TC-G.
