Crafted of soft polyester, known for its superior strength, this hammock’s weather-tolerant fibers resist bacterial growth, rot and water absorption … giving it a long outdoor life. The hammock is made of 1,000 feet of continuous weave three-ply rope to create a durable woven bed. Its double-latch construction and 14 loops in the body add greater comfort and strength. The hand-tied bowline knot tightens with use. The hammock’s clew is made of macramé and the rope ends have tassels for an artistic effect.
Spreader bars are constructed of solid oak for strength. They’re triple dipped in marine spar varnish to preserve the wood and protect it against the elements. The spreader design enhances the hammock’s gentle rocking motion, and the eased edges of the spreader ensure safety. Each bar bears the Hatteras Hammocks logo.
The hammock’s heavy-duty zinc-plated hardware resists rust. The one-piece welded ring and chain prevents loss of hardware and enables you to easily adjust the hammock’s height. The zinc-plated eyebolt, the largest in the industry, adds protection and strength.
