If you would rather not use our easy to use Deck Kit Estimator, getting an estimate for your project is easy. Just follow these 3 steps.
Step 1 - Download the Project Planner
Our project planner is an Adobe PDF file that you download to your computer and print out.
Page 1 contains a sample drawing and instructions on how to use the planner.
Page 2 contains a blank planner for you to use.

Step 2 - Layout Your Plan
After you've download our project planner, layout your plan with pencil and paper. The project planner contains a sample plan that has all of
the information that we will be looking for in your plan.
When layout your design on the planner, keep these helpful hints in mind:
- Use the sample plan as a reference of how to properly layout your plan.
- Indicate the length of all rails in feet and inches. We need to know the length of every straight line on your diagram.
- Do not indicate where center posts should be placed. We will automatically figure that out for you.
- Where you have angles, indicate the degree of angle.
- Be sure to fill out all of the options on the bottom of the diagram (color, baluster type, etc...)
- If you have any questions, give us a call at (888) 349-4660. We're here Monday thru Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST.
Step 3 - Fax Us Your Plan
After you've completed your plan with pencil and paper.
Fax Your Plan to
(866) 238-6903
Or e-mail your scanned plan to cs@diyhomecenter.com
Please make sure that your plan contains the following:
- Your name, phone number and e-mail address. Strangely, this is the number one thing that people forget to fill out -- so please make sure we
can get ahold of you!
- The best time to contact you during the week Monday thru Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST.
- Anything that you think is special or different about your deck.
After we receive your plan, we will perform an estimate and provide you with a total project quote. After committing to purchase the project, we will then provide
you with a detailed breakdown of the project.
If we have any questions, we will attempt to contact you via e-mail or phone.
