How thick are the stones?
The stones are 2" thick.
What are the stones made of?
All address stones are made from 100% Indiana Limestone. You may wish to visit the Indiana Limestone Institute to learn more.
How accurate is the image preview tool?
The image preview tool is intended to help you visualize what the finished stone will look like. It is not to exact scale and the finished stone will not have the exact character spacing, height and thickness as that in the image preview -- but it will be close. Brick backgrounds are provided as a visual aide and should not be used to approximate opening sizes for the stones. For examples of finished stones, please see our samples page. For information on character height, please read the Construction Information section on our shipping information page.
What type of dye is used for the black or sunk portion of the stone?
The dye used is the same dye that is used for memorials in cemeteries. The dye is airbrushed onto the product after it has been hand-crafted.
The size I need is not listed. Can you do a custom size?
Yes, absolutely. We can accomodate just about any shape and size. For a free estimate, give us a call at (889) 349-4660 or e-mail us at cs@diyhomecenter.com
